Description

A simple yet delicious Margherita pizza topped with fresh mozzarella and basil.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water and yeast in a bowl, let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil, then knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  6. Spread tomato sauce over the crust.
  7. Add sliced mozzarella and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, until the crust is golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a drizzle of olive oil over the pizza before baking.
