Description

A traditional Italian lasagna layered with rich meat sauce, creamy béchamel, and pasta.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic over medium heat.
  4. Add the marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish.
  7. Layer 4 noodles, followed by ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and meat sauce.
  8. Repeat the layers three times, finishing with meat sauce and topped with Parmesan.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving.
