Description

Soft, sweet, and perfectly glazed Baked Apple Fritters without deep frying!


Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

2 large eggs

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups diced apples

1 cup powdered sugar

23 tbsp milk

1/2 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Peel, core, and dice apples into small cubes.

3. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

4. In another bowl, beat eggs, sugars, milk, and vanilla.

5. Fold dry ingredients into wet until combined.

6. Stir in diced apples gently.

7. Scoop batter onto baking sheet, spacing evenly.

8. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and set.

9. Prepare glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.

10. Drizzle glaze over warm fritters and let set for 5 minutes.

Notes

You can substitute apples with pears or peaches for a seasonal twist.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
