Description

Delicious baked maple donut bars that are warm, sweet, and perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon in a large bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and maple syrup until blended.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the greased baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth and creamy.
  7. Once the bars cool slightly, drizzle the glaze over the top and allow it to set for a few minutes.
  8. Cut the bars into squares, serve, and enjoy!
