  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup salted butter, melted (226 grams)
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder (62 grams)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (98 grams)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional, but recommended)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grab a metal 9×9 baking dish and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the sugar and eggs. Beat them together with an electric mixer on high speed for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Next, whisk in the melted butter and the vanilla extract.
  4. Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold these dry ingredients into the wet ones until you form a thick batter.
  5. Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake in the oven for 33 to 38 minutes.
  6. Allow your brownies to cool for at least an hour before slicing.

Notes
