Description
A deliciously sweet and moist chocolate chip banana bread perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt until you see no white specks left.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the flour a little at a time until just combined. Be careful not to overmix! Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly in the pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Keep an eye on it towards the end!
- Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm with butter or cream cheese, or pair with coffee or milk. Can be toasted and served with ice cream for dessert.
