Description

A deliciously sweet and moist chocolate chip banana bread perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt until you see no white specks left.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fold in the flour a little at a time until just combined. Be careful not to overmix! Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly in the pan.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Keep an eye on it towards the end!
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or cream cheese, or pair with coffee or milk. Can be toasted and served with ice cream for dessert.
