Ingredients

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Drain any excess fat and add marinara sauce.
- Mix ricotta, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place 3 noodles over the sauce, then add half of the ricotta mixture, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with meat sauce and a final layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with spinach or mushrooms.
