- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1/2 cup sugar (for blackberry topping)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar in a mixing bowl. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan to create a crust.
- Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
- Mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the whipped topping gently, then spread this layer evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
- Combine the fresh blackberries, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
- Allow the blackberry topping to cool before spreading it over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate the dessert for at least 2 hours to set.
Notes
Serve chilled and garnish with fresh blackberries or mint. Pairs well with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
