Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for blackberry topping)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar in a mixing bowl. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan to create a crust.
  3. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  4. Mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fold in the whipped topping gently, then spread this layer evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  6. Combine the fresh blackberries, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  7. Allow the blackberry topping to cool before spreading it over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Refrigerate the dessert for at least 2 hours to set.

Notes

Serve chilled and garnish with fresh blackberries or mint. Pairs well with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
