Ingredients

- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden.
- Drain the pasta, reserving some cooking water.
- Combine the pasta with the garlic oil, adding reserved water as needed.
- Season with salt and toss with chopped parsley.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
For a more robust flavor, add anchovies while cooking the garlic.
