- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken and set aside. Lower the heat, add the remaining tablespoon of butter, and melt it.
- Add chicken broth to the skillet, deglaze the pan, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, drizzle the sauce over it, and let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For variations, consider adding cream for a richer sauce or red pepper flakes for spice.
