Description

A delightful dish that combines succulent chicken with a rich, buttery sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  3. Remove the chicken and set aside. Lower the heat, add the remaining tablespoon of butter, and melt it.
  4. Add chicken broth to the skillet, deglaze the pan, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, drizzle the sauce over it, and let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For variations, consider adding cream for a richer sauce or red pepper flakes for spice.
