Description

Juicy air fryer cheeseburgers ready in 15 minutes with perfectly melted cheese and minimal cleanup. Uses simple seasonings and 80/20 ground beef for restaurant-quality burgers at home without a grill.


Ingredients

pounds ground beef (80/20)

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon paprika

4 slices American cheese

4 hamburger buns

Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles

Ketchup, mustard, mayo


Instructions

1. Remove ground beef from fridge, let sit 10 minutes. Divide into 4 equal portions (6 oz each).

2. Season beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Gently mix until just combined.

3. Form each portion into ¾-inch thick patty, slightly wider than buns. Press shallow dimple in center of each.

4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 5 minutes.

5. Spray air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray. Place patties in single layer without overlapping.

6. Cook at 375°F for 10 minutes for medium doneness (8 min for medium-rare, 12 for medium-well, 14 for well-done).

7. Flip burgers halfway through cooking (at 5-minute mark) using spatula.

8. During last minute of cooking, place cheese slice on each patty. Close air fryer to melt cheese.

9. Remove burgers, let rest 2-3 minutes. Toast buns in air fryer 1-2 minutes if desired.

10. Assemble burgers with desired toppings and condiments. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use 80/20 ground beef for juiciest results. Leaner beef dries out.

Don’t press down on patties while cooking – releases juices.

Dimple in center prevents bulging during cooking.

Internal temp: 145°F for medium, 160°F for well-done.

Cook in batches if needed – don’t overcrowd basket.
