Description

A comforting casserole combining ground beef, creamy soup, and gooey cheese, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk or beef broth
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef and diced onion in a large skillet over medium heat until the meat is browned.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Make the sauce by whisking together the cream of mushroom soup, milk (or broth), paprika, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  5. Assemble the dish by combining the cooked rice, beef mixture, half of the shredded cheese, and the sauce in a prepared baking dish.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese, cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Finish baking by removing the foil and continuing to bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Perfect served with a side salad or steamed vegetables. Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
