Description

A hearty and delicious dish featuring baked potatoes topped with seasoned beef and gooey melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings and casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • Toppings: sour cream, salsa, green onions, jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and slice the potatoes into rounds or wedges. Toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then spread them out on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until crispy and golden.
  4. While the potatoes bake, cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, stirring until browned. Drain fat, add taco seasoning and follow instructions on the packet.
  5. Layer the baked potatoes on a serving platter, top with seasoned beef, and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. Return to the oven for another 5-10 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
  7. Serve hot with optional toppings like sour cream, salsa, green onions, or jalapeños.

Notes

Use starchy potatoes for best crispiness. Ensure even cutting for consistent baking.
