A delightful twist on a classic, combining the savory flavors of chicken parmesan into a gooey grilled cheese sandwich.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of bread
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer one slice of bread in the skillet, butter-side down. Add half of the mozzarella cheese on top.
- Spread the shredded chicken evenly over the cheese, then add marinara sauce, and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up. Cook until the bread is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted, another 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
