Description

A delicious Chicken Torta Sandwich with juicy chicken, creamy avocado, and spicy pickled jalapeños, all tucked inside soft rolls.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 telera rolls
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper generously.
  2. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until it’s cooked through and has beautiful grill marks.
  3. Mix the mayonnaise and lime juice in a bowl.
  4. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  5. Slice the telera rolls in half and toast them lightly if desired.
  6. Spread the lime mayonnaise on the inside of each roll.
  7. Layer the grilled chicken, avocado slices, and pickled jalapeños on the bottom half of the roll.
  8. Top with fresh cilantro and close the sandwich.

Notes

Don’t overcook the chicken to keep it juicy. Customize your toppings to suit your taste.
