A delicious and moist banana bread filled with rich chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 3 medium/large ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 3/4 cups)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (divided)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Butter and flour a 9.25″L x 5.25″W x 2.75″D bread loaf pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the lightly beaten eggs and mix until fully incorporated.
- Mash the bananas and mix them with the vanilla extract into the batter.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until incorporated.
- Gently fold in 3/4 cup of chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bread pan and top with the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Add nuts or coconut for variations.
