Ingredients
8 slices brioche or challah bread
4 oz cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
1. Cut a pocket in each bread slice.
2. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Fill bread pockets with cream cheese mixture.
4. Whisk eggs and milk in a shallow dish.
5. Dip filled bread in egg mixture, coating well.
6. Fry in butter until golden brown on both sides.
7. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a plate.
8. Roll cooked toast in cinnamon sugar before serving.
Notes
Best served fresh.
Use slightly stale bread for better texture.
