Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures the muffins bake evenly.
  2. Prepare the muffin tin: Line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners or give it a light greasing to prevent sticking.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Blend wet and dry ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Fold until just combined.
  6. Prepare the cinnamon filling: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter.
  7. Fill the muffin cups: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the batter into each muffin cup. Add a spoonful of the cinnamon filling on top, followed by another spoonful of batter.
