Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar + 2 tsp ground cinnamon (for the swirl)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your Bundt pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition and including the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually alternate adding the dry ingredients and sour cream to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the greased Bundt pan, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over it, and add walnuts if desired. Top with the remaining batter.
  7. Swirl the batter gently with a knife or skewer to create a ribbon effect.
  8. Bake for about 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a fancier presentation, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with cream cheese frosting before serving. Pairs wonderfully with coffee or tea.
