- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the melted butter.
- Stir in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Finally, mix in the flour and chocolate chips until just combined; don’t overmix.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan, then enjoy!
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to ensure a tender loaf.
