Description

A deliciously sweet and moist banana bread filled with gooey chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or as an afternoon snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the melted butter.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Finally, mix in the flour and chocolate chips until just combined; don’t overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan, then enjoy!

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to ensure a tender loaf.
