- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar for topping
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Then, add the milk and stir until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough and fit it into a pie dish.
- In another bowl, combine the apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the apples.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
