Indulge in the gooey, buttery goodness of these Copycat Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 23 tbsp milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and yeast in a mixing bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix it all together until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the flour while mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
  5. Roll it out into a large rectangle on a floured surface. Aim for about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Spread the softened butter over the dough evenly.
  7. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a separate bowl. Sprinkle this mixture over the buttered dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into rolls, about 1 inch thick. Place the slices in a greased baking dish.
  9. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for about 20-25 minutes.
  11. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and a little milk until smooth and creamy for icing.
  12. Spread the icing generously over the warm rolls before serving.

Notes
