- 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 2 cups Chicken Broth
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 lb Potato Gnocchi
- 3 cups Broccoli Florets
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon Dried Thyme (optional)
- Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breast cubes completely dry with a paper towel; season with half of the salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add the chicken in a single layer and cook until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Add unsalted butter to the skillet; once melted, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture; whisk constantly to create a roux, then slowly pour in the chicken broth while whisking.
- Simmer the sauce for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly; stir in heavy cream and seasonings.
- Add potato gnocchi and broccoli directly to the skillet; cover and cook until gnocchi are tender.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted; return the cooked chicken and combine.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary; serve hot garnished with fresh parsley.
