Description

A delightful dish featuring chicken pieces fried to a crispy perfection, topped with a sweet and tangy orange sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Mix the flour with a pinch of salt in one bowl and beat the eggs in another bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off, then coat with the flour mixture.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded chicken in batches until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  5. In a saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and ginger powder. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Toss the fried chicken in the orange sauce until well-coated.
  7. Serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider a double-fry method or add crushed red pepper flakes for heat.
