- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- French baguette or rolls
- Sliced provolone cheese
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
- Add sliced onion on top of the roast.
- Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently.
- Cover and set to cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Once done, carefully remove the beef and shred it with two forks.
- Return shredded beef to the slow cooker to keep warm.
- Assemble sandwiches with shredded beef and provolone cheese in baguette or rolls.
- Serve with au jus for dipping.
Notes
Consider adding horseradish sauce or mustard for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat as needed.
