Description

A quick and satisfying Italian dish made with spaghetti, garlic, and olive oil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g spaghetti
  • 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Do not let it burn.
  3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Season with salt and mix well. Remove from heat.
  6. Serve the spaghetti hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Use high-quality olive oil for the best flavor. Be careful not to let the garlic burn, as it can taste bitter.
