Description
A delightful dessert that mimics dirt, topped with candy-coated chocolates, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 14 oz crushed Oreo cookies
- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 0.25 cup softened unsalted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 8 oz thawed whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- 1 cup pastel candy coated chocolates (such as M&M’s)
- 0.5 cup mini Oreo cookies for topping
Instructions
- Start by crushing all your Oreo cookies until they reach a fine crumb consistency. Set aside ½ cup of the crumbs for topping later.
- Press the remaining Oreo crumbs into your 9×13 inch dish, forming a nice, even crust at the bottom.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar together until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
- Next, fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy, making sure everything is well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Let it rest for about five minutes, then gently fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture until everything is combined beautifully.
- Spread the creamy filling over your Oreo crust, making sure to cover it evenly.
- Sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs, mini Oreos, and pastel candies on top for decoration and that signature ‘dirt’ look.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least two hours to let it set.
