A quick and easy Italian pasta dish made with garlic and olive oil.
Ingredients

- 400g spaghetti
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions.
- While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, cooking until the garlic is golden and fragrant.
- Drain the spaghetti and reserve some pasta water.
- Toss the spaghetti with the garlic oil mixture, adding pasta water as needed to combine.
- Season with salt and stir in chopped parsley.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, try using fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon juice.
