- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
- ½ cup pepperoni slices
- ½ cup bell pepper, diced
- ½ cup onion, diced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough.
- Layer the cooked Italian sausage, pepperoni, bell pepper, and onion on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.
- Carefully roll the dough into a log, starting from one of the longer sides.
- Pinch the seams to seal well.
- Place the rolled stromboli seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the top with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Use a sharp knife to make a few small slits on top to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
