Description

Easy Stromboli is a delicious and customizable dinner option, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup bell pepper, diced
  • ½ cup onion, diced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  3. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough.
  4. Layer the cooked Italian sausage, pepperoni, bell pepper, and onion on top of the cheese.
  5. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.
  6. Carefully roll the dough into a log, starting from one of the longer sides.
  7. Pinch the seams to seal well.
  8. Place the rolled stromboli seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Brush the top with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  10. Use a sharp knife to make a few small slits on top to allow steam to escape.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
