Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh berries

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Mix the milk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl until combined.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients by pouring the milk mixture into the flour mixture. Stir until just mixed; a few lumps are okay.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  5. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Serve topped with maple syrup and fresh berries.

Notes

Don’t overmix the batter! Letting the batter rest for about 5 minutes helps produce fluffier pancakes.
