Description

A delicious and hearty classic Italian lasagna filled with layers of rich meat sauce, creamy béchamel, and gooey mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles
  • Ground beef
  • Onion, diced
  • Garlic, minced
  • Tomato sauce
  • Bechamel sauce
  • Fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
  4. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the tomato sauce and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Layer a bit of meat sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
  7. Add a layer of lasagna noodles, followed by meat sauce, béchamel, and mozzarella.
  8. Repeat layering until ingredients are used, finishing with béchamel and Parmesan on top.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace ground beef with spinach and mushrooms.
