Frozen Greek Yogurt Peanut Butter Bites

Frozen Greek Yogurt Peanut Butter Bites Amazing 10 Minute Recipe

  • Author: Simon
  • Total Time: 10 minutes active + 3-4 hours freezing
  • Yield: 24 bites 1x

Description

Creamy, protein-packed frozen treats combining tangy Greek yogurt with rich peanut butter, naturally sweetened with honey and coated in dark chocolate. These healthy, guilt-free bites take just 10 minutes to prep and provide the perfect balance of indulgence and nutrition.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups full-fat plain Greek yogurt

½ cup natural creamy peanut butter, well-stirred

3 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon sea salt

For Chocolate Coating:

1½ cups dark chocolate chips (70% cacao)

1 tablespoon coconut oil

Flaky sea salt for garnish (optional)

Optional Mix-ins:

2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips

¼ cup chopped nuts

2 tablespoons freeze-dried berries, crushed

Instructions

1. Line a 24-cup mini muffin tin with paper liners or line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Let Greek yogurt sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to slightly soften.

3. In a medium bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and sea salt until completely smooth.

4. In a separate small bowl, microwave peanut butter for 15-20 seconds until slightly loosened and drizzle-able.

5. Spoon yogurt mixture into prepared molds, filling about ⅔ full (approximately 1 tablespoon each).

6. Drizzle ½ teaspoon warmed peanut butter on top of each yogurt portion.

7. Use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl peanut butter into yogurt, creating marble patterns. Don’t overmix.

8. Place filled molds in freezer on a flat surface. Freeze for 3-4 hours or until completely solid.

9. When ready to coat, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until just melted and smooth.

10. Let melted chocolate cool for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

11. Remove 4-5 frozen bites from freezer at a time (keep others frozen). Using a fork, dip each bite into melted chocolate, roll to coat completely, tap off excess.

12. Place coated bites on parchment-lined tray. Immediately sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.

13. Return coated bites to freezer for 15-20 minutes to set chocolate completely.

14. Transfer finished bites to airtight freezer-safe container with parchment between layers. Store in freezer.

15. Serve directly from freezer. Let sit 2-3 minutes at room temperature for optimal creaminess.

Notes

Always use full-fat Greek yogurt for creamiest texture. Low-fat versions create icy bites.

Natural peanut butter (just peanuts and salt) works best. Avoid no-stir varieties with stabilizers.

Honey prevents ice crystals—don’t reduce below 2 tablespoons or texture will suffer.

For dairy-free version, use coconut yogurt and ensure chocolate is vegan.

Store in airtight containers to prevent freezer burn. Keeps 4-6 weeks when properly stored.

Add protein powder (1-2 scoops) to boost protein to 7-9g per bite.

For nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter or tahini.

Uncoated bites keep 2 weeks; chocolate coating extends life to 6 weeks.

Working with 4-5 bites at a time prevents melting during chocolate dipping.

Silicone molds make removal easiest—push up from bottom to release.
