- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sprinkles
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Combine the flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix the warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and colorful sprinkles.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and cover them. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the rolls for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix the powdered sugar with milk for the icing and drizzle it over warm rolls before serving.
