Description

A comforting dish combining steak, creamy sauce, and cheese tortellini, perfect for special occasions or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Cheese Tortellini (Choose fresh for the best results.)
  • 1 lb Steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 5 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 3/4 cup Whole Milk
  • 1 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese (shredded)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black Pepper (to taste)
  • Garlic Powder (to taste)
  • Smoked Paprika (to taste)
  • Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • Cracked Black Pepper (optional)
  • Parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring well. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Gradually add the shredded Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and combined. Adjust seasoning with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  6. Slice the rested steak thinly and return it to the skillet along with the tortellini. Mix until everything is well coated in the creamy sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, add more red pepper flakes or cracked black pepper. Use fresh herbs like basil or thyme for different flavor. Don’t overcook the steak to keep it juicy.
