Delicious Greek Chicken Gyros that are easy to prepare and bursting with flavor.
Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken breasts
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup fresh tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup red onion, sliced
Instructions
- Combine yogurt, garlic, oregano, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Add chicken breasts to the marinade, coating them evenly. Let them sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the marinated chicken for about 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- Once done, slice the chicken thinly.
- Warm the pita breads in the oven or on a skillet.
- Assemble the gyros by placing sliced chicken, tzatziki sauce, diced tomatoes, and sliced onions in each pita.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Marinate the chicken for up to 2 hours for more flavor. Enjoy with a Greek salad or extra tzatziki.
