- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp green food coloring
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Whisk together the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, green food coloring, and vinegar in another bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before adding any frosting.
- Beat the softened butter in a bowl until it’s creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar and milk until you reach your desired consistency.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes generously and enjoy every bite!
