Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 cup asparagus, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Toss in your asparagus and sauté until it becomes tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add your cooked chicken along with garlic powder and onion powder, cooking for 2 more minutes.
  4. Stir in orzo and chicken broth, bringing it to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
