- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- 1/4 cup milk (optional, for creaminess)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the ground beef for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the baking dish, then layer the sliced potatoes on top. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Sprinkle the cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the top, and pour beef broth or water around the edges. Drizzle with milk if desired.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley, serve hot, and enjoy!
