- 8 ounces of chicken breast
- 1/2 cup of cabbage
- 1/2 cup of carrots
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of ginger
- 1 green onion
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 8 ounces of lo mein noodles
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Instructions
- Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Add the chicken and cook until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic, ginger, onions, and bell pepper; sauté for a few minutes until tender.
- Stir in the cabbage and carrots; cook until just soft, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and sauces, mixing well to combine.
- Add the cooked noodles, tossing everything together.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu and use vegetable broth.
