Description

A delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring tender chicken, vibrant vegetables, and stir-fried lo mein noodles.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup of cabbage
  • 1/2 cup of carrots
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger
  • 1 green onion
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 8 ounces of lo mein noodles
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the garlic, ginger, onions, and bell pepper; sauté for a few minutes until tender.
  5. Stir in the cabbage and carrots; cook until just soft, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and sauces, mixing well to combine.
  7. Add the cooked noodles, tossing everything together.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu and use vegetable broth.
