Description

A delightful blend of crispy chicken coated in a velvety honey butter sauce, perfect for family meals or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into 2” pieces
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp flour (gluten-free optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 garlic cloves, sliced thinly
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 tbsp cold unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • Finely chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken by cutting the thighs into bite-sized pieces and tossing them in a mixture of cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Cook the chicken in a large skillet with avocado oil over medium heat for about 8 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Make the honey butter sauce by lowering the heat and adding cold butter, honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar, then tossing the chicken back in until coated.
  5. Serve the dish garnished with parsley, either on a platter or directly from the skillet.

Notes

Pairs well with steamed rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
