- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup (85g) honey
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups (200g) elbow macaroni
- 2 cups (200g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups (360ml) whole milk
- 2 tablespoons flour
- Salt to taste
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
Instructions
- Prep the chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt and black pepper.
- Cook the chicken: Heat butter in a skillet and cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, sauté garlic, then add honey, soy sauce, black pepper, and optional chili flakes, simmering until thick.
- Glaze the chicken: Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the thickened sauce.
- Cook the macaroni: Boil salted water, add macaroni, and cook until al dente.
- Make the cheese sauce: In a separate saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, then add milk and cheese until smooth.
- Combine and serve: Mix macaroni with cheese sauce, serve with glazed chicken on top.
Notes
Serve with roasted vegetables or garlic bread for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge.
