Description

Delicious cookies combining rich chocolate and creamy Irish cream liqueur for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup Irish cream liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans or walnuts, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a larger bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, Irish cream liqueur, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and combine completely.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoon portions of dough onto the lined baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are set.
  9. Cool cookies on baking sheets for 3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Best served warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
