Description

Italian Meatloaf combines traditional flavors with Italian ingredients for a comforting and impressive dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, Italian herbs, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove the meatloaf from the oven, pour marinara sauce over the top, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can serve meatloaf with spaghetti, salad, or garlic bread. For storage, refrigerate for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
