- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, Italian herbs, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven, pour marinara sauce over the top, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
You can serve meatloaf with spaghetti, salad, or garlic bread. For storage, refrigerate for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
