- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, basil, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased baking dish.
- Spread marinara sauce over the top.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top in the last 10 minutes of baking and return to the oven until melted.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use fresh herbs for better flavor and mix gently to avoid toughness.
