Instructions

  1. Start by separating the eggs. Place the egg whites in a mixing bowl and the egg yolks in a separate bowl.
  2. To the yolks, add the milk, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar. Whisk everything together until it’s well combined.
  3. Next, sift in the all-purpose flour and baking powder. Mix this until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  4. Now, focus on the egg whites. Using an electric mixer, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the yolk mixture in three additions.
  6. Preheat a nonstick skillet or griddle on low heat and melt a small amount of butter.
  7. Using a ring mold (or carefully spooning), pour the batter into the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden.
  8. Finally, serve these masterpieces with maple syrup and a sprinkle of powdered sugar if desired.

Notes
