Description
A vibrant and flavorful Mediterranean Steak Bowl filled with fresh vegetables, tangy feta, and savory marinated steak, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin steak
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 cup cooked grains (e.g., brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice)
- Fresh toppings: cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, kalamata olives, and feta cheese
- For the Tzatziki sauce:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup cucumber (grated)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
Instructions
- Marinate the steak: In a bowl, mix together the 3 tbsp of olive oil, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Coat the sirloin steak in the marinade and cover it. Place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the tzatziki sauce: While the steak marinates, combine the tzatziki ingredients. Mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, and chopped dill in a separate bowl. Chill this sauce in the fridge while you cook the steak.
- Whisk together vinaigrette: If you want an extra kick, mix up a simple vinaigrette with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the steak: Heat your skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak for about 4–5 minutes on each side, depending on how well you like it cooked. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing against the grain.
- Assemble your bowl: Start with a scoop of your cooked grains at the base. Top it with sliced steak, fresh veggies, and a generous drizzle of tzatziki and vinaigrette.
Notes
Don’t skip marinating the steak for enhanced flavor. Customize toppings as desired.
