Ingredients
- Thick slices of bread
- Butter
- Garlic (minced)
- Ground beef
- Onion (diced)
- Bell pepper (diced)
- Ketchup
- Worcestershire sauce
- Cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt some butter in a pan over medium heat and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Spread the garlic butter generously on your thick slices of bread and toast in the oven until golden, about 10 minutes.
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add in the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 1 minute.
- Remove the toasted bread from the oven and spoon the beef mixture on top.
- Top with cheese and return to the oven until melted, about 5 minutes.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
