Description

A delightful dessert featuring tart strawberries and creamy cheesecake flavors in a light, buttery cobbler.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with ½ cup of granulated sugar, and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. In another mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining ½ cup of sugar.
  4. Pour in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until you have a smooth batter.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into your prepared baking dish.
  6. Spoon the strawberries and their juices over the batter.
  7. Scatter the cubed cream cheese evenly across the top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and the strawberries bubble.
  9. Let the cobbler cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a swirl of whipped cream on top.
