Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups of cubed bread
- 2 cups of fresh blueberries
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- Butter (for greasing the pan)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
- Spread the cubed bread evenly in the baking dish and sprinkle the blueberries on top.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until everything is well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and blueberries, pressing down gently to ensure the bread absorbs the liquid.
- Let it sit for at least 15 minutes or cover and refrigerate overnight for a more flavorful dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Serve warm, optionally topped with syrup or powdered sugar.
Notes
