Description
A quick and refreshing pasta dish with vibrant lemon and garlic flavors, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Begin by boiling a pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Don’t forget to reserve 1 cup of the pasta water before draining the rest.
- Sauté the garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until it becomes fragrant.
- Add lemon: Next, toss in the lemon zest and juice. Stir everything together to combine the vibrant flavors.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water. Mix everything well until the sauce coats the pasta beautifully.
- Season: Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste, adjusting the flavors to your preference.
- Serve: Dish up the pasta warm, garnishing with fresh parsley and a generous sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. To restore moisture when reheating, add a splash of olive oil or water.
